Bagutti also painted the two frescoed medaillons of San Pietro and San Paolo, and the other frescoes of the Evangelists Giovanni and Matteo with Christ at the center.

Frescoed medaillons of San Pietro and San Paolo,

In 1816 the same author painted  the two frescoes at both sides of the Main Altar:

To the left the drama of the martyrs driven to torture is rendered in a plain way, softened by majestic trees, by the pagan building and by the statue of the divinity that appears behind the scene.

To the right, torture being executed, the atmosphere is exciting and truculent, some martyrs have already been barbarian assassinated, while others are waiting to be tortured the executioner shows the head of San Sisinio as a trophy.
